I recently had an undiagnosed disease/parasite go through one of my tanks & kill a bunch of fish. The tank has since been broken down, sterilized & the substrate & decor all replaced. I had heaps of good bogwood pieces in it that I would like to re-use but I am wary of transfering what ever was wrong onto a new set up.
Is there a way I can kill of any bad stuff that may still be living in the wood? Will boiling it work?
Same question for the red sandstone rocks that were in it.

i would boil them. you can also use bleach then treat the water with extra declor to break it down. make sure to clean it very well.
