Hey All

Doing some reading on reactors and wanted the opinions of the experts on the forum.

I was thinking either a BRS Dual Reactor with pump:

or two in sequence PhosBan reactors with similar pump.

I wanted to run them with activated carbon and GFO

Any comments or suggestions would be helpful. Just want to create the best environment for my reef!

I run a single BRS reactor and mix Rox 0.8 carbon and high capacity GFO. It is an easy way to go, and am very happy with the results. However, I think a dual reactor to run these would be even better - as I tend to probably change the media more often than would be necessary for the GFO (which is expensive) since the carbon lifespan is much shorter.

I am sure the quality of the dual reactor is on par with the single, and I would definitely recommend it. It is easy to change the cartridges, and the vessels seem to be high quality. I use the MJ1200 pump to drive it, which is what BRS recommends, and it has been great.
