Reading GH & KH test results

The KH test came in at 7 drops and the GH was 3 drops. How do I use these numbers now? The conversion chart doesn't make obvious sense to me....
 
With most of the KH/GH tests, you can convert # of drops directly to degrees of hardness or carbonic hardness (in the case of KH). So your tank is at 7dKH and 3 degrees hardness. Both very normal and acceptable levels for most FW tanks.
 
And that's all there is to it? No combining the numbers somehow mathematically to get the result, just two independent readings?
