real rock from outside in tank??

Hey guys I have two red stone rocks I wanna put in my aquarium what should I do before I do that? Or can I not do it at? Thank You.

You can do that but only if they arnt porous. Put a little vinegar on one and if it bubbles its porous and unfortunately you cant use it.

If it isn't porous, then boil it for a while.

Okay I poured vinegar on them and no bubbles that I could see are they little or big bubbles

I would probably just wash them in warm water to be safe but it depends on what type of rocks they are. if there are air pockets and you boil them you could get an explosion and a face full of rock...

Or put them in the sink and just pour boiling water on them with the plug out. This way the heat wont penertrate too deep into the rocks core.
