Any and all opinions are welcomed. I use 100% RO water and am starting a 90 gallon tank with wet dry sump below for filtration. It's focus is a discus community planted aquarium. I've been doing this for two months now. All opinions are welcomes. Any fellow discus owners have any advice, any aquascapers have any advise,

Random questions:
-What product, if you use 100% RO water, do you add?
-What plants would you recommend, I am going for natural habitat. I don't want a sponge bob toy in tank!
-bubbles as I call it, what's a good amount, can you over do it? Is not having them an issue?

Either way, aside from a slight problem I posted earlier, just looking for everyone input on my aquarium.

I am new to this site too.

If anyone has reach this part... How do I add a profile picture? I couldn't figure it out.

Welcome to AA...
First off I like ur tank very nice one thing if u are doing a planted tank using 100% ro has no nutrients in it for ur plants... Why 100% ro... Plus bubbles are one of those things that its up to u if u want them....what is ur lighting and are u going to dose or use co2 and also what is ur water readings (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,ph)

It's cycled, ammonia and nitrites at zero.
Nitrates at ten today
PH at 6.8 - stable.

Yea I was seeing what others would recommend I put into the water. I'm currently using Kent discus essentials and Kent plant pro.

And thanks.

I was not going to use co2, just natural co2 created by fish.

4 x 65watt lighting. 2 daylight. 2 acetic(blue)? Also setup has 4 blue led moon lights.

100 % RO so I can manage water easier. Keep more stable, and discus need super clean water. So I figured if I start with pure water I can add minerals to the water. Just don't know if I'm adding the right ones.

Do you test for reading on co2?

Thanks.
