Red clawed crabs

Hey everyone I was thinking about adding two red clawed crabs to me 45 gal tank. I've seen them in them in two different lfs.
One store had no way for the crabs to come out of the water and the other had rocks the crabs could climb put of tge water to dry land. My question is do they have to be able to come out of the water every once in awhile any help would be awesome

I have seen floating fake lillypads and the like to give crabs a place to come out of the water.
 
That is also a possibility. You could use floating driftwood also.
 
Those sound like good ideas but how would they get to them can I attach some line to the bottom and the lily pad.
 
The Lilly pads had a long green stem to a normal substrate wait just like other
