Hi I'm looking for some advice. I recently added my first fish to my juwel Rio 125 aquarium after leaving it to cycle for 2 weeks.
I added 1 red tailed black shark and 2 kuhli loaches. I didn't want to add to much to soon.
The problem is my shark barely moves around the tank. He often just sits there on the gravel.
Any ideas what could be the problem and any ideas on how to make him happier??
Thanks a lot! Paul

What's your temp & pH etc? Fish like different parameters. I've two blacks and they are quite active

Two weeks is not enough time to cycle a tank properly.

Check your water parameters as mentioned above.

Read through my signature link for info on starting out with a new tank.

Get Prime water conditioner to help with your fish in cycle.

A 125L/ ~33G tank is not large enough for a red tail shark to live a healthy happy life. They need a lot of space to roam, patrol and call their own territory.

You need a liquid test kit to test the water to get accurate info needed to make it through the fishless cycle.

Glad you came here to get some good advice for your new tank. Welcome to the community.
