Reef octopus nwb-150

Anyone have any experiance with the reef octopus nwb-150?... I really need some help... It says the water lever should b from 6 to 10 inches and the return outlet is not to be covered but the return outlet is at 8"... My sump chamber is at 11 inches and i cant raise it cus i dont have room under my stand it bearly fits.. My question is insted of raising the skimer can i jut raise the return outlet?.. And will i have any probs if i do?... Thanks

I'm using the same skimmer for my 55gal and so far its working good. How deep is your water?

Right now its at about 6"and it works super good..but in my new sump its going to be at 11"

I don't see why you couldn't just raise the return outlet. I had similar issues as the water in my sump is 11 deep, though I just put a cheap plate under it to solve the issue lol.

Yeah i wish i could do that but dont have room under my stand... I only got 1" of space and use it to remove the cap and clean it..=S

Just get a larger piece of PVC and use that for the red tube so it's above the waters

Yeah that kinda what i did.. Bought a piece of pvc and some stretchable coupling and it worked when i tested it..
