Remora pro pump does not fit in pre-filter

I bought the remora pro skimmer a couple months ago and decided I needed the pre-filter box. Well, it has arrived and I can't figure out for the life of me how to get that mag 3 pump in the pump side of the filter box. Did they send me the wrong size filter box? Even if I take off the intake protectors it's not even close without cutting off the intake. Any ideas?

Make sure the prefilter isn't for the mj-1200. Also, try taking off the suction cup "thingy" (for lack of a better word).

Yeah, I'm an idiot (kinda). The pump fits, it's just extremely tight. I had to take all three tension screws completely off for it to go and it stays just fine without them. It was quite the installation task, but it seems to be working quite well now.
