Well, I did my monthly filter clean out and realized my prefilter wasn't seated properly allowing a bunch of baby shrimp to be sucked into the intake. I pulled at least 15 shrimp out of my canister filter using a turkey baster that I cut to have a bigger tip. There are some newborn shrimplets I left in a bucket to grow out before I put them in a tank but they are mixed in with the leavings from my dirty filter. What would be the easiest way to separate them from the detrius when they grow up a little?

That's a tough ask, those little shrimp are absolutely tiny!

I'd say maybe screening them through a fine mesh net, and putting what the mess catches into a separate bucket of tank water, then it'll be easier spot em and get em with the Baster or net?
