My daughters 20long seems to get an outbreak of ich every couple months. There have been no new additions in at least 6-8 months. Water perimeters are perfect, weekly water changes with temp matched treated water (I use digital thermometer to get exact same temp) I treat the ich as I'm supposed to raise temp to 86 add some aquarium salt.... Wait until it goes away keep temp high another week. Then I tried that plus meds.
I know neon tetras are more prone to ich but they are the only ones I the tank to ever get it.
Any advice we've lost 6 out of the original 10 we had to it. I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to aquariums but I've been in the hobby on and off for the last 30 years so I do know what in doing. (Or at least I think I do)
Thanks
