I have this ricordea, it is about 5" in diameter. Is this a normal size for 1 head and at what size does it split? Or do I need to do something special to make it split?

Haha sorry. Forgot to attach. It is a type of ricordea just can't remember what kind.

That's probably an elephant ear mushroom (Rhodactis mussoides) if it's 5" in diameter.

Pacific Red Ricordea Yuma I believe... It's not a hairy mushroom from the pics I could find. If anyone else agrees I'm going to buy more. They were captive propagated but all the reds I could find are 60$ +. The descriptions I've found says longer tentacles on the out side and small ones around the middle and even on the mouth. And they usually grow circular where as the floridas grow oval shaped.
