RO/DI (or) Kold Sterile?

So my lfs guru sez I should go with Kold Sterile instead of RO/DI. Any opinions?

I wouldn't use kold sterile for a reef, as it seems, from the limited reading I did on it, that not does not remove silicates and phosphates, but RO/DI does. So, it might be ok for FW or FOWLR , but I wouldn't trust it in a Reef tank.
