RO unit arrived broken..

So I'm sure I'm not the first to have a RO unit shipped just to open the box and find its broken. So my question is should I even bother trying to fix it or just send it back. The obvious answer to me is send it back, but if someone has had this issue and fixed it without any problems I wouldn't be against it.
