I moved one of the little chunks of rock I purchased from my LFS that has a lot of mushrooms and zoas? Well when I flipped it over to see what side would be best to be on the sand I discovers this starfish .. And it is creepy looking.. I was thinking maybe a small sergeant star fish??

Looks kind of like a serpent star. The picture is a little hard to make out, but the arms appear to be smooth. Either way, brittle star or serpent star, it is a good addition to your clean up crew.

I know haha I had like 5 seconds to grab my phone and take a picture cause it was scooting when I saw it

It's a brittle starfish, I have 8 or 9 that hitchhiked in on my live rock.

I don't keep any lids on my tank.. Should I be worried about him climbing out?

They won't climb out, I have an open top also. They will stay hidden in and under your rocks 99% of the time, you'll only see their legs sticking out trying to grab food. Good part of the cuc.
