I've just purchased some Seachem root tabs to help push some Java Fern 'windelov' and Java Moss to fill in bare spots in an established 16G. The tank is low tech and I like it that way, once the plants fill in where I removed other items, I don't intend to continue fertilizing.
My question is, if I add too many tabs, do I run the risk of an algae bloom from excess nutrients in the water column? I'd like to add them in 3 areas, but could stagger timing and only add to one area at a time over several months.
