Salinity

Just did a water change in my reef tank, and my salinity dropped to 1.17
Can someone help??

What was the salinity of the new water? And the tank pre change? I’m hoping you meant 1.017 too

Are you using lfs water? Or making your own? Are you using a refractometer or hydrometer? Sounds like the new sw was way off

What was the water salinity before the water change? What was the water change water salinity before you made the change? A mistake had to be made somewhere along the line. Always test your water test results.
