Hello,

I think i know the problem, but i got a fresh water tank, the tank is about 5 years old, fish are doing great. I always add a bit of salt each water changing, and i noticed there has been a lot of salt depoist showing up at the botton of the tank, around the plastic trim at the bottom. There is no signs of a lack(puddles). Any sugguestions? I think is could be a very small leak.

You could drain the tank, put all the water in a bunch of buckets to re use, remove all gravel and completely wipe down and let dry out and reseal the tank around the area, its a big process though and takes 24 hours at least for the silicone to completely set

yea but you shouldn't refill the tank after 24 hrs either. it will not be cured and you will get the area peeling.

I was wondering because if it were a small one. It would probably not be that much to just replace it.
