What do you folks use to remove salt residue from your glass tank lids? I've used only water and a soft scrub brush and the residue remains. I'm afraid to use anything stronger out of fear of contaminating the tank. The glass seems to be becoming etched and losing its transparency.
Any suggestions?

I actually don't have a tank lid but I typically just wipe the salt off the top edges of the tank with a wet paper towel and that usually takes care of the problem.

I am suprised a soft scrub brush isn't taking care of it. Perhaps wetting it first with FW and then trying to scrub it again will do it.

remove the lid and give it a thorough scrubbing with vinegar, if it is truly stubbon, lay papertowels on the glass that are soaked in the vinegar and let it sit a couple of hours. Then scrub off and rinse well with cool water.
