Saltwater sand in my cichlid tank

So I have rinsed the saltwater sand (very fine grain) 6or7 times now. I plan on mixing the saltwater sand with regular cichlid sand have any of you tried this? Do you guys think I am safe to put the sand in the tank and start cycling my tank? Any indications that it will be harmful to my cichlids ? I plan on mixing about 50% regular 50% saltwater sand, I have about 20 cichlids right now and don't want to lose them. Any suggestions on how to wash more effectively ? Please help an inexperienced guy with your experience/wisdom! If there is a real huge risk I don't want to chance it!

Both the cichlid sand and saltwater sand are made out of aragonite. It'll be fine.
