Samolus valerandi flower

Came home from work today to find this growing out of my Samolus valerandi. Pic is a little dark as the first ballast has just kicked on. Think it's a flower of some sort. Kinda cool! :)

You must be doing something right getting your plants to flower submerged :wink:
 
glen thats amazing. i have never even heard of that plant. looks healthy though. glad the tank is going so well.

Wierd description for that plant.

If light conditions are good and the bottom is nutritious, the plant will do well. S. valerandi is also suitable as a pond or terrarium plant, as well as an indoor plant if placed in a north-facing window.
 
Hey Wizzard, what's going on, long time no talk! Yea, I read that as well on the Tropica discription, Think I'm gonna give it a try. Makes me wonder just how long it will survive submersed. Thuogh, it is a true aquatic.
