Any way that I can keep my stem plants rooted in sand?? They always end up floating after a few days.

Any way to set up a new sand tank to be easier for this as well?

I always set a small chuck of rock over or around it. Then mode it when they have anchored

Are they rooted&what does the base of the stem look like? Deteriorated at all?

Stem plants. No roots and some but not all.

I use a pair of planting tongs to plant my stem plants in at least 2 inches of substrate. I find that doing it by hand is very hard to keep them planted. By using the tongs i never have a problem keeping them rooted.

A lot of the time stem plants will rot away at the base if you dont have enough light. Like was asked before, what light fixture, size of tank, and ferts do you use?
