So I have 2 tanks. My big tank has very fine beige sand in it, and when I have the lights out and shine a light in there are very small worms that are coming up sometimes they have sand wrapped around them. My other tank has black sand, it it a little courser. There are no worms in this. Is it just because the tank is only 4 months old or do I need finer sand? Do I need the worms in there?

I tried to get a picture but it just blends in, almost look like hair, white-beige in color.

Here are pics I hope, the lines coming up through the sand are the "hairs", then when they get on top of the sand they will look like the second pic, "hair covered in sand" Some are not and just waive around but are so small I can't get pics.
