Sea Sand in fish tank?

Hi Guys!!

Whats you're opinion regarding sand taken from a beach to add it to a fish tank?

Will this work for plants and fish ?
Will this be safe for plants and fish ?
If you boil it will it take out all the germs/bugs?
Will it still leach salt?
Will it affect any PH levels?

Hi, is this for a freshwater fish tank? Making sure it is salt free for the plants would be one concern for me and I'd go for a hardware store instead.

Salt would be the least of my concerns with all the garbage we pollute shorelines with.
