Sex ID, Frontosa

Curious if these guys I bought are big enough to be sexed. They are about 5 and 6 inches. Got them at a steal because there bars are broken.

Have to vent can't really tell but the one that starts to grow much faster then the rest will be a male. Remove that one and the next biggest male will take its place. Keep doing that until you have just females and find them a sexed male.

Without venting my best guess is the darker one is male and lighter one is a female.

Thanks. Don't really have resources to vent just yet. I would love to breed someday. Saving for a leemar 240g. Plan to sink it into my closet and have a species tank. This is only a 100g and I am sure they will soon outgrow this.

Venting is easy, catch them with a net and look at their junk with a magnifying glass. Here is a link with some pictures,

Wow, surprisingly seems easy. I will work on this. Also have a macro lens for my DSLR, will shoot some shots for further clarification. Thanks a ton for the link!
