I'm looking for some short grasses. Rather stout would be great!
I have gravel, low light, and I use API leaf zonePertaining to plants though. What's your light, substratem ferts, etc?
it's a mixture of different size pebbles. From a small pebbles to pinky nail sized pebblesHow large is the gravel grain size?
Crypt Parva, is a slow grower, here's a picture of mine after 3 plants spread into a mat.... Aquarium Advice - Aquarium Forum Community - Rivercats's Album: 220g 12-1-2012 - Picture.
Micro chain sword and dwarf sag but it really depends on how low your lighting really is.
I would use the Crypt Parva if that's what you wanting to do as the others will send out runner and spread. But they are easy to keep under control as you'd just have to pull out the runners/plants you don't want.
It's much harder IMO to get a grass like carpet when using large sized gravel. I'd try what Aqua Chem suggested.

Wow, Rivercats-your tank is unbelievable. I don't think I could ever achieve something as beautiful as that.
The ones on the far right? Looks like dwarf sag.
