Jack Dempsey...her bottom half gets really dark at times. Looks pretty cool.

I had posted previously that this pair had bred. They had free swimming fry early last week. But I guess there immaturity got the best of them and they ate them.

What is the catfish?
It's a Tiger Shovelnose. I bought him about 3 months ago,he was only 3 inches long,in those 3 months he has grown to 9 inches. At this rate by Christmas he will or should be about foot and ahalf! By then I guess I'll sell him off at the next OCA auction.

Stunning fish! If I didn't have a few Dwarfs in my tank I'd have a pair of Salvini - yours are amazing. Proves anyone who say SA Cichlids are not as colourful as African clearly have not done there research.
