Those are some cool fish! Awesome red zebra! I have one he is getting bigger, when I got him he was under an inch now he is 3-4"!

Haha. The petsmart had them under "assorted African cichlids" so I got him and two others for $6 each. The others are smaller.

I got all my cichlids ( except the jewel cichlid) from the assorted african cichlid too lol

I know how to tell the gender now! Just vent them, look it up on YouTube and find african cichlid hub channel and it shows you how.

IMHO once you get them running for a few months my reefs are so much easier than my planted fw tanks used to be. Just a lot if testing at the start to learn the system.
