Shrimp food?

Hello, i recently purchased a shrimp form my local pet store. It did not specify what type of shrimp it was but I was wondering if there is something i need to feed it. Well, besides normal flakes and sometimes I feed dots to my neons and algae wafers to my pleco. I have read that shrimp eat algae also.

Most shrimp will eat the alge wafers, if we can get the species narrowed down we can tell you more specifcs. Its most likly clear? If it is clear with brown strpes or broken stripes on its side, it is an amano shrimp. If it is perfectly clear or clear with 'veigns' of brown on it, it is generic ghost shrimp. If its none of the above can you post more description?

Looks to be totally clear, has like one "vein" running from front to back on his underside. I need a new fish store.
