Sick betta in quaratine tank.

I just put the betta in the Q tank I don't know what's wrong with him. There are no white spots for ich. He hangs out at top all the time. When he try's to swim to the bottom he floats back to the as to if his stomach was inflated Any thoughts of what it is? And how do I cure it?

You might try feeding him a blanched, deshelled pea. Then fasting him for a day or two.

This sounds like a case of bloat. Google Betta and bloat. The de shelled pea may work, but in my experience my fish don't try it. I would warm the water by a degree per day to 79-80 and fast him.

I suggest warm water only because I'm not see if you have a heater or not, if you do have him in warm water then he is fine to stay at his current temp

You may want to research adding Epsom salt to the water. I forget how much per gallon is good. But it might help.
