I got my sword tail along with one other female and one male just the other day and instantly when I put her in the tank she swam to the corner plant and has only come out once. No one is chasing her. I have a 55 gallon. Her tail looks somewhat rotted? Is she sick or pregnant?

If her tail looks rotted it's probably tail rot. I have experienced this in my short time of fish keeping and these people on here really helped a lot. Hey do have meds you can get for this rot and depending on how bad it is it can be cured. What I have is melafix which is an antibacterial for rot
