In my 10 gallon tank I have 2 black minor tetras that have black discoloration and it appears that their top lip has rotted away. These are the only two of this species in this tank. None of the other species in this tank seem to have any problem. They (the tetras) are still quite active and don't swim about erratically. Does anyone know what it is that they have and how to correct it?

It could very well be columanris. Treat with melafix and pimafix. What are your water parameters? First do a water change, then remove any active carbon in your tank and then add the meds. It would be better if you had a QT tank to put them in for treatment.
