Basically I just acclimated my new figure 8 puffer fish into my new tank, however, the f8 seem to be constantly trying to 'attack' the reflection of the tank, thinking there's another puffer. For the first few minutes I ignored it thinking it was just casually exploring the tank, but 2 hours later I realised that it was a problem and it had to be rectified.
I think he's under a lot of stress, I've tried to cover up the sides with backgrounds and even change the lighting, but all methods didn't seem to help.
Anybody has any suggestions?
Thanks in advance?

Try turning off the light and cover the tank so it's dark. Give him some time to cool out in a dark tank.

Can I turn the light on after he cools down?

Yeah, I would give him a day in the dark to relax.
