silicone on acrylic?

I've got a 20 gallon hexagon acrylic tank. I wanted to attach some tiles to the inside to decorate the back of the tank as it will be sitting against a wall and will have wires and HOB filter, none of which I would mind hiding.

So I just wanted to ask if silicone will bond to acrylic or cause it any damage?

I have never worked with acrylic, but from what I have gathered from these forums by people who do work with it is that silicone does not adhere well to acrylic.
