Aquarium Advice Addict
I walked by my tank just a little while ago and at first I thought my silvertip tetras were fighting. Then I looked closer and the were rubbing against each other and the female was releasing eggs! There will be no fry as the eggs got sucked up by the filter, but it was fascinating to watch.
Tank Size: 29 gallons
Temp: 79 F
pH: 8.0
hardness: 15 dH
conditioning: I feed them Omega One Super Color flakes 5 times a week, boiled zucchini 1 time a week, and I will start feeding them freeze-dried bloodworms once a week.
I don't know of anything that would have induced the spawn, other than a regular 50% water change I did on Monday.
