Small Feather Dusters

Small individual FDs are popping up on the sand bed bougt from HD and on base rocks. I'm just curious as to how they got there. Did they populate from the two large FD i bought from lfs? Also, how large will these grow?

do you have any live rock at all?

I have 165lbs of LR. However, none of these little FD are on any of the LR.

I would say it was seeded by the rock. They may not be noticable from your point of view but they should be there if not than...werid!

hehe, I have all kinds of Fether duster growing on my refugium glass.
They start like a mini FD, which i thought they will never grow big.But yesterday when i check my refugium, those red fether duster grow near my over flow out take has grown to the size of 1 inch, amazing =).
Over all, if something start to grow always a good sign of your tank condition.
