Does anybody else have the small swirl like things on there glass or filters powerhead? They are also white and hard.

Spirorbid worms. They're harmless filter feeders. They develope a hard shell and then extend "feathers" to feed.

**** that's cool my only question with these feeders are where do they actually come from?

Just google them. You'll find all the information you need. They'll pop up when nutrients are high. If and when nutrients deplete, the worms will start to die off.

Well it could be looked at both ways. You have them because you have excess nutrients, but they are making your water a little cleaner by eating said nutrients. They're good to have but not having them doesn't make your tank a bad tank...

So basically having them helps destroy the nutrients

I couldn't imagine that they would help that much. Try to increase your PWCs and decrease the amount of food you feed your fish.
