Snail eggs????

I pulled one of my feeder snails out of my tank to feed my puffer, and it had a clear, gel like sac attached to it and, it appeared to have eggs in it. I thought they layer their eggs above the water line.

It depends on what kind of snails they are. Some lay them under water.

I got the snails for free from petsmart if that helps. Don't know what breed they are.

They are probably pond snails and they lay their eggs under water... Almost all snails that are small lay them in water
