I found this snail in my tank during a pwc, am have no clue what it could be. It is fairly large (about 3/4 inch in diameter). It also moves fairly quickly. The only snails I have introduced (on purpose) to the tank are nerite snails. Is it possible that this is a HUGE pond snail?
Thanks in advance! You guys are great!

I imagine it is just like another snail, they reproduce quickly when the tank is over feed? Should I remove him?

Ramshorn snails are considered pest snails and will easily overtake a tank if you're not careful. But I'm still new to inverts so I'd do a little research and go from there.

Yep defo a ramhorn snail, and yes the breed like crazy, iv got red ramhorm snails in 3 of my tanks and they did take over a year or so ago, but i think that was due to over feeding, i used assain snails to keep them in check now and now there fine, the more the assain snails breed the less ram horns i get

Moved to Invertebrates forum.

I agree that it is a ramshorn snail. IME the population is not likely to get out of control if you don't overfeed the tank.
