Something randomly appeared in my tank...

In my tank, my brother and I just found a snail. We put in a couple of plants over a week ago, but we suddenly found it sucking on the side of our tank. It's really small, but I don't know where the heck it came from. We think it came from our plants, but we're not too sure. Will it affect our tank in any way? D:

It rode in on the plants, they can multiply quickly in a tank, even more if you're an over feeder lol

Get it out now! and look very close at the plants, remove any others and/or jelly sacs filled with eggs. They will takeover your tank, for the most part doing good, but it looks awful. Hard to get rid of without chemicals once theyre established.

Found some nuisance snails in my fluval today,headed to my lfs to pick up a (soul)asassin snail..

I love snails, and my kids like them too! Just don't overfeed.

Pond snails are awesome, they give my aquarium this look
Like in the wild, coarse, this is my opinion

They also take care of rotting vegetation, aswell as diatoms!!
