I recently built a stand for my 60g cube and did not think in advance about adding a sump as I did not have one on my last stand. Due to my stupidity I only have room for a 10g diy sump and even then the shelf that it will sit on is not big enough for the 10g. My questions is will the 10g be ok if it is hanging off its support by 1/4"? The reason I can not extend the shelf is that I will have my Reef Octopus BH-2000 on the side of the 10g sump and the motor will be resting on the floor rather than the skimmer actually hanging on the 10g.
