Starting up tank with old equipment

Hi there,

I am about to follow the amazing guide to cycling my tank after having my tank stored away for a year while I was traveling.

I was wondering if there would be an issue using any of my old equipment/supplies (filter, filter media, de-chlorinator...). All of the stuff has been sitting around for a year.

I shouldn't think there would be any reason why you couldn't reuse it, assuming it's not completely overgrown with mold or something. Sometimes chemicals will have an expiration date but it would be printed on the bottle somewhere that you could check.

Should be fine. Just wash everything up, get the dust off it. ? have fun!
