Thinking about setting up a new tank, but a little short on space. Any recommendations for stocking a 20-gallon long SE Asia biotope? Tank will be fairly densely planted, and will feature natural driftwood, looking for livestock suggestions...any ideas?

well, I got it set up, I am running a Fluval C4 HOB filter, lighting is a 30" AquaticLife 2-bulb T5HO for 2.4 watts per gallon, my substrate is Flourite Red, I have added a small piece of driftwood, a bunch of river rock, and for the moment planting consists of Wisteria, Green Temple Hygro, Limnophila, Corkscrew Val, and a few smaller Cryptocoryne species, any recommendations for fish? will not be stocking it until the nitrogen cycle is established, just looking for ideas as it's been a while since I've done a tank this small.

Okay, here's a better question, would a small school (6) Tiger Barbs work in a 20 Long? Some sites say they are fine as small as 10 gallons, others say nothing less than 30, would they work in a 20 Long?

Well, this is the stock idea I have come up with, anyone see any possible issues?

6x Tiger Barb
5x Kuhli Loach
2x Dwarf Gourami

No tiger barbs. Too small. I would get 10 kuhlis. I dont know much about dgs. I also am not good at picking region specific fish.... sorry

Any recommendations for a mid-level swimmer? maybe 8-10 Harlequin Rasboras?

Ive always been partial to those but never got to keep any. Dwarf praex rainbows are awesome as well. Go to seriouslyfish.com and browse through the danos, rasboras, and tetras. Bloodfil tetras and rumnynose tetras are cool too.

I'd do no tiger barbs and only 1 dg... You could
6 kuhli loaches
1 dwarf gourami
8 harqualin rasboras
5 swada barbs
