stocking ideas

i am currently trying to get a 150 gallon fish tank and i would like to make it a south american would this be fine for a black ghost knife fish? how fast do they grow, i also would like to put in either a convict or a firemouth cichlid what are some other fish i could include?

many people will say yes. though i wouldnt put one in anything less then a 180. 150 isnt wide enough for it to turn around.
