Strange new critter on rock

Over the last week I have noticed an very small tube protruding from my rock. It has a tiny white "head" that retracts whenever you put something near it. It emits a thin line on mucous that dangles in the water column about 3-4 inches long.

Any clue???

I cant get a pic..it's too small.
 
yeah, vermetid gastropod is what it looks like. I even see one on the shell of my astraea snail. Looks like a teeny pile of poo, and the tube comes out the top.

:lol: Y'know... that's exactly what they look like! I think I'll start describing them like that to folks! (Of course, I'll give you credit for the descriptive description.)

It's fun to watch them when they get ahold of a piece of mysis shrimp, or something that's obviously waaaaay too big for their little mouths.
