strange wormish creature,cause of sudden tank death syndrom?

the image is growsly oversized and out of focus, but its the best I can do.


The wormish creature is less than a quarter of an inch long, wriggles around kind of like a snake, only much faster, and is in my gravel.


What is it? Is it the cause of the deaths of my Balloon Molly, Bala Shark and, worst of all, Hammer?!


PLEASE HELP!!

Is it possible to get a decent still shot of it William? Its impossible to really make anything out with that pic. Barring that, can you give us a REALLY detailed description? Color, markings, differences in shape, etc.

Brown, less than 1/4 inch long, and just kept moving back and forth between two rocks in my gravel against the glass, it looked like it couldn't get out... However its no longer there.

It may have had a bit of black on it.
