I have been reading around and notice that most people have sumps for their SW tank. I do not at the moment but I seriously need to build one for myself in order to make things easier. Can anyone give me a link or anything for help on how to build one? I'm pretty brainless when it comes to figureing these things out, so if there is a site called "Sumps for dummies" it would be helpful. Also an idea of the costs. Thank You in advance.

melevsreef.com Great ideas.. He can also build you one but warning not cheap.

ahhh alright thnx... does anyone else have any ideas? I just want as many options as I can get so I can do this properly.

My sump is just a 20g long tank. I have my skimmer and wet/dry in it. Cost about 20 bucks. Look at the saltwater gallery, and go to my thread (should be very top). HTH

You could even got a large rubber trash can from Walmart, add LR and get a pump return.

You "BIG" items that are a MUST have:
- Container (10gal, 20gal)
- Return Pump (Mag 7 +)
- Overflow device or pre-drilled
- Tubing between the two tanks (Both ways = 2 lines)
- REUSE existing Skimmer and Heater in location.

Roughly $20, $120, $90, $10 - So around $200-$250 in costs.
