I just added a Niger (Redtooth) Triggerfish to my 110 gallon tank and the Red Sea (Dejardinni) Sailfin Tang is showing aggression toward it. He is not out and out harassing and beating the Trigger, but he is doing a good job of keeping the guy relegated to one side of the tank. The trigger is eating well and able to eat at feeding time.

I just moved the trigger from qt to the reef and didnt think in a million years the tang would bug it. Any ideas, anyone had a similar issue and think the aggression will fade in time as territories are established.

Tangs are very aggressive. My desjardini does the same thing. The aggression does taper off after a month or two, but it goes through periods where it wants to be "the terror of the deep".
