I'm finally getting a chance to write it all down about my cycle .
I started a 125 gal tank with the bio-filter from my HOB on the 10 gal rang out in the water and put in the canister of the new tank . Here is the readings I had:
day 1 Ammo .50 , Nitrite 0.1 , Nitrate 5 Ph 6.8( ph remained stable)
day 2 Ammo 1.0 Nitrite 0.1 Nitrate 5
day 3 Ammo 0.5 Nitrite 0.3 Nitrate 10
day 4 Ammo 0.5 Nitrite 0.8 Nitrate 20
day 5 Ammo .25 Nitrite 1.6 Nitrate 50 ( water changed 25%)
day 6 Ammo 0 Nitrite 1.0 Nitrate 10
day 10 Ammo 0 Nitrite 0.1 Nitrate 10
day 13 Ammo 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5
Sorry for the gaps some days a never had the chance to write it down .
The spike of Nitrate on day 5 could have been a false read as nitrites will affect the test.
Tank was planted , driftwood and deco while cycling.
After that fish went in all are happy - even saw two GBR's getting frisky yesterday.
