Tank

I have had my fish tank for 5 months now and i have this algae problem that i have been trying to get rid of for 1 month. I feed them in a pattern one day i feed the next dont etc. fluorescent lighting. 5 neon tetra. 3 plant. One fake plant. 2 filter one aqua clear, other top fin. 10 gallon tank.

What kind of algae? Green, brown, something else? Is it in the water or on decorations or the glass, etc? More info would help. Maybe a pic if you can get one?
